| | | Company Profile | At MFB we see ourself as a solutions provider - not just a rack manufacturer. We currently supply standard product off the shelf - as identified in our comprehensive catalogue - with little or no lead-time being the ultimate goal. We equally acknowledge that customer requirements will differ from job to job and as such if a customer requires customisation, then we are able to readily provide that solution. We can ensure fast turnaround through the identification of the client's needs by our experienced sales team, and its ready implementation through our in-house Design Centre.
Our Design Centre has three experienced full-time designers equipped with the latest CAD software to call up existing parts, modify and make ready for programming. With two full-time programmers the transition to a CAM file is quick and accurate. The design and CAM programming team is well versed with the manufacture of our entire product range and understand machine capabilities - having achieved tradesmen certification on the factory floor.
MFB's commitment to design is evident in the ongoing design and development of all current parts. The access to new design software and new sophisticated machinery to run the parts, give us the flexibility to continually review and modify existing designs with ease and introduce new designs when possible.
Further to our belief in not being just a manufacturer, we have dedicated and experienced sales teams in Melbourne and Sydney, offering both expertise and comprehensive after sales service. Their professional approach adds another dynamic that sets MFB apart from the rest. In Melbourne, we have a sales team of four with a further two people in support, and in Sydney we have a sales team of four people. Our sales teams pride themselves on the technical knowledge they have gained through their years of experience with MFB. All sales personnel are long-term employees. MFB's Sydney and Melbourne sales managers are both entering 25 years of service. Their confidence in dealing with people and being able to offer advice is reflected by the sales generated - and more importantly - in the repeat sales from customers who recognise MFB as a preferred supplier.
Currently our manufacturing plant in Melbourne covers an area of 68,000 sq feet and employs 60 staff. This facility also serves as our head office and administration center. Our Sydney office / warehose facility is located in Lidcombe, covering approximately 10,000 sq feet and employing 8 staff.
MFB is a fully accredited company endorsed to ISO 9001:2008 Quality certification and we are the recipients of an Australian Design Award for our design and manufacture of 19" Racks. We are also a Defence Recognised Supplier and provide SCEC endorsed cabinets for the protection of classified material.
At MFB we recognise that the process of being productive isn't just about having the latest machinery. It is a holistic approach to running the business. We have also invested heavily in providing a clean, safe and professional work environment, a lean production work-flow and clear lines of communication.
